“Working with Dionne brings me balance, peace, and strength—period. It’s like going to Big Mama’s house on a Sunday, sitting in her kitchen, and telling her all your problems without saying a word. Somehow, she just knows what to say. She reminds you: everything’s going to be okay. Don’t lose faith.
There’s a motherly energy she carries that feels both grounding and healing. Since losing my mom in 2017, that kind of presence has meant everything to me. With Dionne, I don’t just feel supported—I feel seen.”

“After coaching with Dionne, I gained a deeper understanding of what it means to truly give myself grace. I no longer feel pressure to rush my healing. In my own time, I have been emerging from grief—victorious.
She gave me permission to revisit and upgrade my affirmations, not just for old wounds but for present and future losses, too. The tools I received weren’t just about grieving a death—they helped me honor all kinds of loss: friendships that faded, jobs that ended, identities I had to release.
Working with Dionne expanded how I process, honor, and move through grief with compassion and strength.”

“Dionne has a powerful gift for bringing people together—creating space for us to share our experiences, learn from one another, and grow.
As a guide, she helps us deepen our self-understanding, expand our self-knowledge, and connect with the energy around us to access support and invite positive change. Her presence is both grounding and expansive.”
Meet Your Guide
Hey there, it’s me, dionne. Dionne C. Monsanto — author, certified coach, movement healer, suicide loss survivor, and joyful Black woman reclaiming her life through sacred practices.
I created The Holding Space because I know the aching, disorienting pain of loss — and I also know what it means to create beauty from grief.
My own transformation journey began after the death of my daughter, Siwe, and has led me to walk with hundreds of others through their own sacred seasons of healing. I’ve been featured in CBS, PBS, FOX, Essence Magazine, TIME Magazine, and more.
Before this life of embodiment and coaching, I was an executive in Financial Services — until grief changed everything. Now, I bring over 20 years of experience in holding space, teaching, and guiding transformation across classrooms, yoga mats, corporate stages, and sacred circles.
This journey is your invitation to make joy from your pain — not by pretending everything is okay, but by remembering you are.
✨ You are worthy of healing.
✨ You are allowed to transform.
✨ You are safe and held.
